Statements and signature

Examination standards * Member dojos are encouraged to use the Shōtō Keishōkai standards, but may use their own.

The dojo will use the Shōtō Keishōkai examinations and standards. The dojo will use its own examination standards. If your own: where are they published, or how are they made available to students? If the dojo uses its own standards: I attest that they meet or exceed Shōtō Keishōkai's, that the syllabus, rubrics and scoring criteria are made available to students before they test, and that the dojo will provide them to Shōtō Keishōkai on request to confirm compliance. The dojo agrees, as a condition of membership, that Shōtō Keishōkai has the right to audit the dojo's examination standards, rubrics, scoring criteria and grading records for compliance, and will provide them promptly when asked. * The dojo accepts the conditions of membership described on this site and will keep a record of every grade it awards. * I agree that this information is stored by Shōtō Keishōkai and used only to process the application and to contact me about it. There is no fee for applying or for membership. You will receive a reference number on the next page; keep it. The President replies by email to the contact address above.
